DVD Shrink writes 6.67GB backup!? |

I'm trying to shrink Simpsons Season 4, Disc 1. I set perfs to
DVD-5 (4.38gb) and DVDShrink proceeds to write a 6.67gb
VIDEO_TS folder every time. Anybody got any idea what I'm
doing wrong? Thanks.

Is your video compression setting in DVDShrink set to automatic?

Automatic sounds right to me. This should compress the video files so that
they fit on the target DVD size specified in Preferences, normally DVD-5
4.7GB.
Otherwise have no idea what the problem could be...

It must be a problem peculier to this disc. I just did another
with perfect results. I'll try the forum, thanks for the link.

Keep in mind that soundtracks cannot be compressed, so DVDShrink cannot
alway fit a DVD-9 onto a DVD-R if there are multiple soundtracks, Dolby
2, Dolby 5.1, DTS, PCM, etc.
