I am trying to wire the rear speakers on an older car but am getting odd
results. When I hook it up according to the head unit wiring diagram I
only get monoral sound from the rear speakers. Also the balance control of
the head unit doesn't move the sound from left to right...stays about the
same. I tried switching the positive wires (thinking they were mislabeled)
I do get balance control but it is backward. When balance goes to the
right...the left speaker comes alive. So the wires are obviously
switched........if I switch them back I am back to the mono/ no balance
situation. What could be causing this.?
The wires going to the back speakers were installed by the auto stereo
shop...they labeled the wires. If they mislabeled....which wires would
cause this odd behavior?
