Please Help Me |
|
|
Hello. Im new here and I was hoping someone could help me with my first
system. I just bought a Sony CDX-F7700 23.2 watts RMS/52 peak x 4
channels, and Im putting in a 60 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms, AMP. Im looking
for the right 6.5 speakers for the rear of my car. Most I have found are
75W RMS and around 150-175W max. Would that be ok with my total 85W RMS?
What would happen if I put in a 50W RMS/200W MAX speaker? Will going over
RMS distort the sound at higher levels? You can see I really have no clue
what im talking about. Im also looking for some decent bass without a sub.
So, most importantly, which 6.5" brand or speaker gives you the best sound
and cleanest bass? Looking to spend around $250. Please respond. Thanks
for your help!

First off, loose the power ratings, they're so dependant on enclosure, |
frequency, and a number of other variables they mean little in a real
install..
I'm assuming you're looking for door speakers and not 6.5" "woofers"?
I personally own these, and I'm tellin ya.. for strong, clean sound from
your doors with no lack of lows..
http://www.adireaudio.com/ Koda 6.1's on sale for $225.. |

Thanks for the responce, but these are going in the back. Im really not |
looking for components. I have 6.5" in the rear and 4" in the front.
What about the Koda 6 Mark II? Would you recommend those for the rear?

Can't recommend what I haven't owned, but I'm sure it'd sound great anyway;)
if you could get your hands on a pair,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5737135104&category=18805&sspagename=rvi:1:1
are very nice, as are JL audio 6w0's.. unfortunately it seems the used
market is the only place you're going to find a real 6.5" freeair subwoofer
at this time.. |
