can anyone fix this avi problem? |

Long story short: I converted a 77 minute RM file to a 77 minute AVI
file (but not directly!). I used Boilsoft's RM Converter to convert to
VCD but the video played hyper fast and audio lasted full 77 minutes.
I used the VirtualDub option under Video>FrameRate>Make Audio and
Video Durations Match. Now I have a nice looking video but the audio
gradually gets further outta sync. At about 30 minutes it is off 2
minutes, at about 45 it is off 3 and at about 60 it is off 4 minutes.
I've tried to use RM Converter to go straight to either MPG or AVI but
have not had success. I've converted it about 20 times now using all
the different codecs but this has produced the best picture. I've read
some "guides" online but none are for my particular problem. The audio
portion and video portion are the exact length. The audio is off from
the very beginning a few seconds. These 2 factors eliminate most/all
of the guides published on videohelp, etc. Anyone know a quick fix?
I have:
TMPGEnc
VirtualDub
Goldwave
AVI2VCD
DVD2AVI
GraphEdit
HeadAc3he
DivFix
Dr. Divx
Video Fixer
I can reconvert to VCD ready MPG if that is the format I need to do
the fix in. BUT you must take into account the video will be in hyper
speed and I'll need to slow it down/stretch it back to 77 minutes
long. If someone knows a way to fix this free let me know. I can
download demos but they need to work as is and not be crippled.
