Which Mixer + effects? |
|
|
Have 1K to spend on a Mixer + dual fx, replacing my cheap Behringer
w/int fx.
Small soloact, guitar+vocals wireless, no backing, FTB MaxX 4A powered
speakers, IEM. V-Amp for guitar, dbx Driverack uses as RTA + feedback
suppressor.
I can get a Mix Wiz generation 2 (16:2DX) for about $700 or a
generation 3 12:2DX for $799. Both has midi controllable dual fx. fx
change is done on a footswitch, which is my way to go.
Other ideas? Soundcraft + TC M300?

Get the Behringer DDX3216 digital mixer.
Four FX units built in plus fully-parametric EQ, dynamics, delay etc on
every channel, full recall (different FX/mixes for different songs or even
just chorus/verse changes) and everything you will ever need. Great sound
quality too.

Get a Yamaha 01V96 then instead.
There's mixed feelings as to the dependability of the Behringer. None about
the yam.

Where have you been?
Behringer gear has really gone up in quality over the last couple of years.
Their digital desk is one serious bit of kit and the DEQ2496 is probably the
best digital EQ out there at any price. Do a google search on this newsgroup
for DDX3216 and you'll see what I mean.
Check out the Behringer board. If you don't like it you could always pay
more than double and go for Yamaha.
