can anyone give me a reasonable difference between DVD+R and what it is and
how it is different from DVD-R and what dual layer is?

if i want to write to DVD+R dual layer discs do i need a specific DVD writer

I am using a sony DWD22a drive can anyone tell me if this will allow me to
write fully to these discs

here is a link to the spec of the exact drive i have

dvd+r not as compatible as dvd-r and are 4.7gb (dvd-r holds a extra
few mb).

dvd+r dl holds 8.5gb and is expensive and even less compatible than
dvd+r.

should burn any dvd blank
DVD-R or DVD+r or DAUL LAYER DVD+R
daul layer(DL) is only at 2.4x burn speed at this moment
dvd+r top burn speed is 16x
dvd-r is 8x
this is all the fastest speeds i have seen about
