Hi guys, i know this may sound silly but bear with me please.

Is there any editor that support MP4 video file formats??
I've tried Premiere Pro and Ulead VS 8 both of which refuse to import my
MP4 files created on a sanyo Xacti.
Ulead is supposed to support it but i haven't managed it. I know the
quicktime pro is supposed to be able to
handle mp4 files but i haven't tried it and its editing functions are fairly
basic as far as i can remember.
Anyone got any ideas??

Hi, I have an Xacti to, took me some time before I found this, in the Picture software that comes with the Xacti click on the clip you want to convert then I think at the top I think it's the tools pull down menu there is the option to convert the file (there is also an advanced area here where you can decide what quality settings you want, they are set fairly low by default) and convert it. Sorry can't be 100% thats right I haven't got it infront of me but it should be obvious when you try it. J
