Caddy in Panasonic's DVD-RAM recorders |

Hi
Can you tell me please if I have to use caddy when using DVD-RAM discs
in DMR-E55?
I've got 10 DVD-RAM discs, but none came with a cartridge. Do I really
have to buy a caddy to use them?

I have the E50 and the answer is no with that unit
and since the E55 is so close I wouldn't think so
either.

Can be done with or without a caddy.
All I do is place the dvdram discs and place them on the tray to start
to record.

Maybe its different now but when I bought my Panasonic E30 and later an E50
both arrived with a cartridge Ram disk and a non cartridge Ram disk supplied
in the box, this instantly gave me a clue that my machines used both
systems.
