Hi there folks, I'm the proud owner of a new Phillips ^$@ and I'm having a
few audio problems. I burned a DVD of AVI files today and not ONE of them
had any readable audio. I decompressed a few of the files to PCM audio. Is
there something I sould do to ensure I don't have this problem in the
future? Make VCD files perhaps?

Before you burn them to DVD, ensure the audio streams are compatible
with player. Stick with divX files that audio formats you know the
player will accept, like MP3 audio.

Sure, but then you'd loose video quality.
