Hello. I purchased this camera with dock in Feb. It stopped working Sept. 6
after very few uses. I followed the instructions on the website, and sent my
camera to Precision Camera Repair in CT. They informed me that there was
evidence of corrosion and the repair would not be covered by warranty. It will
cost me $150. to have the camera repaired or $35 to have the broken camera
returned. There is no reason for this camera to have a corrosion problem. It
was never damaged. I sent an email to Kodak and received nothing but the
automated response re receipt of my email on 11/8 and again on 11/18. At this
point I am quite disappointed in the product and the customer service. Is there
anything you can do before I contact the BBB?

I would like to know (my use only) if you bought it from a
seller/ebay/whomever.
Many of the cameras that "seem" to be a bargain being sold, mainly but not
limited to Ebay are re-furbished.
Some have been factory done (as opposed to what I do not know) and may or
may not be under a year warranty.

I have been looking for and finally got my KODAK DX 6490 from STAPLES, who
did match the lowest price for a NEW ONE, took off another 10% of the
difference and it was much lower than the auction prices.
