centre channel volume low on divx ac3 avi |

i've read on this newsgroup people talking about the overall volume
being low when they play a divx avi encoded with ac3 sound. i think my
problem may be a little different because it seems to be only my
centre channel that's not putting out the volume that the other
channels are.
my ac3filter program doesn't seem to be working properly because when
i adjust the levels in there, i don't hear the difference. plus,
ac3filter has bars that should show the decibals each channel (sw, l,
c, r, sl, sr) is putting out, but there is no activity there.
what do you think?
