Problem with Nero Program |

I have an LG and a Sony internal dvd writer. I just upgraded to the newer version of nero software and now both dvd writers are not writing at their top speeds. It use to take 7 mins to record a dvd, it now takes 30mins or longer to record on both drives. I am using 8x disc. I have tried uninstalling the program and tried an earlier version of nero with no effect. I also tried using another dvd recording program, but it also records the disc's very slow. I have tried + and - disc.
Need some help
