PA setup advice. |

here's what we have:
4 JBL Control 28 Speakers
4 18" Subwoofers in cabinets
1 QSC RMX850 power amp (running the control 28's)
2 Crest Audio CA12 power amps (running the subs)
DBX 223xl stereo 2 way crossover
DOD 15 band stereo EQ
Denon stereo mixer/cd controller
we recently installed the QSC amp to replace a crest audio ca9.
we recently installed the crossover and eq to replacce a
mojo series(?) crossover and a (get this!!) Realistic 10 band stereo eq.
the way it used to be wired in was:
from the mixing board to the crossover to the sub amps. (XLR)
from the mixing board to the eq to the QSC amp. (RCA Cable)
now we have it wired in like this:
board to eq to crossover to respective amps using XLR cables.
It has the potential to sound great, but I'm having a problem setting the crossover up.
We mainly play rock music with a little rap/disco mixed in.
It's used in a bar. About 25'X50'.
Any advice or ideas would be a great help!
Thanks!
