Minolta S414 Err message |

I have a Minolta S414 Dimage. When I turn it on, the only thing that
happens is a 'Err' message appears in the display.
I've tried new batteries, the ac adapter, and another memory card.
Nothing has helped.
Has anyone seen this before? I'm thinking my only option will be to
send it to Minolta for a repair.

Yes I have this happen on 2 Minolta 7i's before I got one where it didn't do
it. Minolta was good and just replaced it with a new one..
My problem was something to do with the aperture drive..

Thanks for your reply --- Sounds like it was under warranty?
Unfortunately, my warranty has expired so I'm now wondering if it
makes more sense to just buy a new camera. |
