I have a GR-D71 digital video camera which is pretty much brand new. I haven't really broken it in. My problem is that whenever i remove my lens cap and turn on my camera, i get a black screen and a message which says "Lens Cap" that flashes about two or three times Confused . The time/date and other icons pop up with no problem. I can playback previously recorded tapes with no problem but when it comes to recording or viewing anything with the lcd or viewfinder, i get a black screen and the lens cap message.

Can anyone help me with this problem?
