VGA input on Sony Bravia KDL-V26XBR1 Won't Handle 1360 x 768 |
|
|
According to the user manual with my new Sony Bravia LCD HDTV, the unit can
be used as a PC monitor with a resolution of 1360 x 768 pixels.
I can't get it above 1280 x 768, although my PC's video card supports 1360 x
768 at 60 Hz per the Sony HDTV's specification.
When I send a 1360 x 768 signal to my Bravia, it 1) reports it still is
operating at a resolution of 1280 x 768 AND 2) the resulting image overscans
the available LCD area and can't be viewed within the 1366 x 768 confines of
the LCD.
This post is for other Sony "Bravia" users who have tried the PC (VGA) input
of their set with a PC video adapter:
Have any of you been successful in getting a Sony Bravia HDTV (of any screen
size, 26, 32 or 40 inches, but please specify which), using the VGA input
(Input Video 7), to display a correct 1360 x 768 image from your computer's
video adapter?
I'm thinking either the Sony spec is wrong, or my video card or its driver
is not functioning correctly. I'd like to find out which.
Thanks.
