| Quote: | My next project involves transferring some analog 8mm camcorder tapes to
DVD. I came across an assortment of V-Stream PVR and video capture
products
at a local store. One is the Xpert TV-PVR (external USB2 box) which
encodes
from a built in TV tuner or analog input to MPG 1/2/4 & AVI for $70 (US).
Another is the Xpert TV-PVR 883 which has similar features but is an
internal PCI card for $60. They both come with a remote control for use as
a
PVR with a home entertainment system.
They advertise a lot of features for not a lot of cash. Does anyone out
there have any experience with this line of products? I already Googled
user reviews of V-Stream products and read a few positive ones.
See V-Stream producs: www.kworldcomputer.com
Also, any opinions as to the performance difference between an external
USB2
device versus an internal PCI card?

My Kworld capture device had software that trashed my system. The unit sits
on a shelf doing nothing now except awaiting being thrown away. |
