I spoke to a drummer that is unhappy with the sound from his Shure
WH20 headset while drumming. and I don't blame him.
the question is, how much better would the sound be, and how much
better drum rejection would he get by moving up to a WH30, or a WCM16?

any thoughts or experience?

Jason

WCM16's are a good sounding mike, but the hard tube
form factor might not suit all. Have you looked at a
Beta 54 maybe? Cost wise, the WH30 is your next step
up the ladder.

The question begs, what is he unhappy with? Leakage into the
mike? vocal quality? Ergonomics?

WH20 127.30 net
WH30 170.00 net
WCM16 318.24 net
BETA 54 594.00 net

HE is unhappy with the thin sound from the WH20,
and his sound guy is unhappy with the bleed from the drums

I use a Crown 311. Works great for me.
