request for information |
|
|
Hello all
I'm posting a request for information on behalf of the fella that runs the
band I play in.
The last weekend that we gigged, we suffered failure of a driver in one of
the mid/top cabs of the PA, an ElectroVoice xi-1152/64 cab; the driver in
question is the EV DH6.
He's asked me to try and find a "cheap" source (which I take to mean lowest
price, not lowest quality but he's from Barnsley and they speak a language
all their own at times) and the best I have managed to find online has been
from Thomann at around the £120 (120 GBP) mark. Do any of you UK based
fellas know of a source that doesn't charge the earth - hopefully less than
the Thomann price - and if so, could you please post up the URL/ phone
number?
Regards on behalf of

The DH6 is a compression driver and the diaphragm is doubtless burnt out.
The diaphragm should be easily replaceable by a decent tech.
Thomann do the diaphragm alone for £112.84

yes allan will sort you out with EV parts (or he did last time i wanted
something which was about 3 years ago now).
not sure what he's like on pricing for that sort of thing. i've known allan
years, the service there i've found to be fantastic, he'll help you out.

Thomann are normally quite hot on pricing, but you could try Allan
Gordon -
dunno if he does EV though, Then a few of the places like Wigwam,
