I bought a used series 1 phillips hdr612.

It makes the initial setup call just fine and makes test calls just
fine, however every time it tries to make the second set up call, I
get a failed message because the call is interrupted. This happens
about 20 minutes into the download.

I've tried disconnecting everything on the phone line, I bought
wireless modem jacks, I've used every call-in number, I've tried at
every possible hour of the day, and still nothing.

I know the modem works 'cause it makes the other calls.

What's up?
