old valve text book |

Do any of you recognise this book:
http://img21.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc135&image=8e0_book.jpg
I inherited it from my Grandfather, but unfortunately my dad (or one of my
uncles) ripped the cover off, tore out a few pages & scribbled on some of
the pages.
The references at the end of each chapter are all earlier than 1939, so I
would imagine to book was written around then.
I'd love to get hold of an intact copy.
Cheers,
Simon

Looks to be Radiotron Designer's Handbook, 3rd Edition, P. Langford
Smith, 1941,... or RDH3 for short.
You can check more pages vs an online PDF of it from here:

Simon, |
You might try also rec.antiques.radio+phono. A lot of knowledgeable
people there, too. I'd like to know what book it is, myself.

Spot-on, excellent!
Thanks very much - I did post on rec.antiques.radio+phono as well, but have
not had a reply there yet.
Cheers!

Get a copy of RDH4, it superceeds RDH3 anyway. Though for your
semental reasons, a copy of RDH4 would be good to have a complete copy
of.
PDFs of RDH4 can be downloaded from
http://geek.scorpiorising.ca/RDH4.html |
