If I build an menu with still or animated thumbnails it always
play/show the first frame in the movie,

Is it possibel to play/show for example a passage in the middel of the
movie ?



I use Encore v 1.5

Yes, there is a setting to adjust the frame it shows, it is called the

poster frame. Read the manual.

All you need to do it find a frame that is more acceptable to you liking.
One of the things you need to remember is that you need to select your
chapter point first, then select the poster frame. Find the chapter point in
question and click on it, then proceed to the frame you want and select the
frame you want, then assign it as the poster frame.

Encore shipped with a very nice tutorial. Please take the time to go through
this tutorial at least once, and I recommemd to take it at least once a week
until you know the program thoroughly. Reading the manual as if it were a
"cookbook" only helps on certain levels, and reading the manual thoroughly
makes you a genius. Combine that with doing the tutorial several time will
enlighten you to the point where you can create any type of interactive DVD
you have in mind. It also saves you from having to ask others what YOU
should already know as the software owner. Reading is fundimental....not
just for children, but for adults using computers as well.

But if I insert en poster frame, nothing happen i my menu - is still
the first frame I can see. ? ?
