Hi,

I am planning on buying my first digital camcorder very shortly. We
will be having our first child any day now! I am interested in the JVC
GR-DF550US model, but I have not been able to find a lot of reviews. At
least not at the professional level. I actually have a lot of
experience in video production, but I have been out of that industry
for long enough that I don't even know what to look for in a digital
model.

Here are the specs (that I am interested in) from circuit city:
Format: miniDV
Resolution: 1.33 Megapixel 540 lines of resolution
Some sort of low light mode.

It seems like a great camera for the money. Does anyone have any
experience with this camera? How about getting it to work with iMovie
on a Mac?
