serious 300ohm mod |

I think this is the right newsgroup to post to, if not, direct me to
one better.
I have a little b+w Tv that I'm trying to modify. It's pretty old. I'm
trying to get coax input to it, when it has only a antenna and a little
plug marked "Ext. Ant.", which looks exactly like a headphone plug. I'm
thinking of conneting a run of 300 ohm cable to the antenna plug inside.
I'm unsure of where to go from here. It's a one-wire antenna.

Best group(s): sci.electronics.repair and/or sci.electronics.misc.
'Repair' gets a lot of traffic - much more than this one.

Hi, |
that kind of televisions have a special adapter that plugs into the
"headphone plug" you mention and have a normal 75 ohm coaxial plug on the
other end.As this is probably lost in the meantime, try to find it in
electronic hardware stores. |
