A&H GL2200 Channel Insert question |
|
|
Briefly: we're going to do live sound and record (up to) 24 channels at
the same time. The recording guy wants to use the insert on each
channel 1st click to send to the HD24. Since I can't seem to find my
manual (arrrrgh), I can't remember if it's pre or post eq. I think 1st
click is the send pre eq and the 2nd interrupts the circuit
(obviously). Not sure...
Can anyone out there shed light on the situation?
Many thanks!

I think someone tried to record from the insert jacks on our GL3000 and
found that they were not set up to support the 1-click trick.

It`s far more satisfactory to make up some special cables using TRS
plugs with tip and ring shorted or buy some of these >>>

The insert is pre-EQ and is only affected by the preamp trim level.
Here's a link to the block diagram on the A&H web site.

Now, if you wanted to have some fun, you could modify the channels so
that the direct out is also pre-EQ output.

I'm wondering why the A&H web site shows no traces of a
manual for the GL3000. |

You must be looking the wrong place. It's been out of production for a
while, so it will not be on the main console pages:
