For the life of me, I can't figure out why Comcast doesn't allow us to
create custom menus with favorites so that we don't have to scroll
through all the nonsense each time (similar to what DirecTV offers).

Comcast's favorites solution is crap: you can hit fav button and it'll
send you to favs channels, but you still have to visually filter out
all the other garbage on the menu.

I'm considering switching back to DirecTV just for this fact.

Is it that difficult to offer? Anyone else completely annoyed by this?

Let me offer a suggestion. Do it. Switch back to DirecTV. Go now and
never look back. When you do, then maybe the rest of us can benefit from
your post.
