After much waiting my Pioneer Elite 930 HD is going to be delivered
and installed next Friday. Here is the setup: Receiver: Yamaha HTR
5860 DVD: Yamaha DV-C 67-60 High Definition Source: Directv Reciever
10-250. Speakers: Front Surround Definitive Technology Mythos 1's,
Sub-woofer: Definitive Technology Supercube 1, Rear Surround
Definitive Technology Gems. Center Channel; Infinity Reference EL.
Here are the questions: The Pioneer comes with a stand alone
receiver. The DTV receiver should be connected to the Pioneer
receiver via video component cables, video composite cables or HDMI
cable. ? The video screen should be connected to the Pioneer receiver
via what kind of cable coponent, composite or HDMI. Audio on Pioneer
reciever via RCA plugs or optical cable ? to Yamaha reciever. Thanks
for any advise. Although Harvey Electronics is a well respected name
in NYC I believe in trusting no one and having as much info available
when the unit is installed.

HDMI prefered to the display, audio coupling preferred would be the optical.
Other interfaces to the display preferrably via good quality component
cables, etc. First thing would be picture quality (HDMI) then Audio
(optical). After that the additional equiptment, appropiately connected and
tested. Enjoy!

The manuals can be trusted.
They will most likely have all the info you need.
