Anyone know of a software application that can do this? I've tried
camuni and a couple of others but none seem to recognize my capture
card.

As an alternative can anyone recommend a cheap capture card that also
comes with motion detect software or has it built on the card?

What is cheap? What are your requirements? I have a capture card that
captures from 4 cameras at the same time with motion detection to Mpeg at
less than 30 fps for $168.00

Cheap to me is right around a hundred bucks but if $170 is the best I
could do then I'd take it. You said it doesnt do 30 fps though? What
brand are you using?
