A nightmare has at last been resolved.

I have a Hauppage USB WinTV device.

I capture MPEG2 files.

I wish to swish them to Divx format.

I first convert the MPEG2 steam using PVAStrumeto (PS) default
settings.

I then use VirtualDub-MPEG2

Compressing using the video 3vix codec and the audio using MP3 56
Kbits/sec

The result is perfect. No Audio sync problem whatsoever.
