TDK 16x DVD-R on NEC 4550A |

I've got a new NEC drive, the 4550A. It will only burn TDK 16x discs (code
TTH02) at 2.4x or 2x. The same discs will burn at 16x on the LG 4167B.

I have NEC ND2500A and with Ritek G05 discs it would only burn at 4x
although they're rated at 8x.
Flashed the firmware and they now burn at 8x.

The 4550A is a new drive, no new firmware is available yet. For some reason,
it only showed 2.4x as the max speed using Nero 7, with Ulead DVD Movie
Factory 4, I could burn at 16x.
