I am looking for new sounds to inspire me when working on new projects.
there are so many options to pick from. Hardware or Software? this confuses
me even further

I have thought about and am looking at the following. Please could you help
me and give me SERIOUS and HONEST answers.

1. Steinberg Hypersonic: i have worked with Hypersonic and it really does
have some great sounds. It is expandable (although i haven't seen many
expansions available). I see that Version 2 has also just been released.
This can only be better.

2. Steinberg Halion: as with Hypersonic, Halion also seems to have some
great sounds and is expandable via many more methods than Hypersonic. There
is also the cheaper Halion Player available which could do the job at a
fraction of the price with all the same sounds, but without the editablity.
I have used Halion as well.

3. Korg Triton Rack: I have always been a Roland user but recently started
playing around with a Korg Triton Le and was blown away. The Triton is also
expandable and is a sampler as well. I have a fairly decent controller, so a
module like the Triton Rack would work perfectly and i am open to change
after using Roland all the years.

I know this is all a stupid question because i am going to get 3 different
answers, but has anyone tried all 3 and which 1 is the definate winner.

TIA

K.C
