I would like to burn a number of short videos (avi or mpeg) to a dvd
with a gap of a few seconds between each one.
I have been looking at Winavi - but I can't tell from the web site if
this is possible.
(I don't mind buying the right package).

Can anyone advise if winavi does this or recommend a different
program?

Don't think it will add a few seconds of blackscreen inbetween. Will do the
job though.

There are whole bunch of software can do that. Read this essay at

The simplest way is to record a few seconds of black video, either from a
camcorder with lens covered or a vcr switched to 'aux'. This can then be
inserted before, between or after your clips and software transisions used
to fade in/out, etc.

Is there anyway to convert .rm videos to DVD? I have DVD Santa, but it
can't handle them.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious! ;-)

I'll get right on it.

taking all the film clips, why not just use a fade to black transition

between them and adjust the time as needed
