So what's up w/ Rec.Video.Professional?
I've been able to post to it and it comes up in most newsgroup search
engines?
What would it take to fire that thang up and ditch all the "Video Filmers"
?!

If you are talking about Google Groups, you will note
that there is nothing there but garbage that has blown
up against the fence. Remember that Google is NOT
Usenet.

What makes you think you can "post" to r.v.p?
I use one of the largest news services on the planet
(Supernews) and r.v.p has *no* postings in it, including
yours. Doesn't mean anything if you can post to your
own news server. If nobody propogates it, you might
as well save your time and effort.
There is no evidence that it is not still "moderated"
and the moderation has been extinct for several
years now. Even when the moderation was "working",
it was so slow that the newsgroup was effectively
worthless. Only 2-3% of the messages were generating
any responses. |

Sorry --- Usenet ain't my area of expertise
Uh, is that what I'm doing------ posting to only MY Outlook Newsgroup
server?????
When I post to Rec.video.production my posts make it onto the newsgroups
just like this message
so if this one made it --- wouldn't my 2 test posts to R.V. Prof be there
too? |

If you messages aren't being propogated to any of the
other several thousand news servers on the planet, then
only you are reading your own messages.
r.v.p still has no messages on one of the largest servers
on the planet (Supernews). it is also still labeled as
"Moderated" which is *why* no messages are accepted
or propogated.

Notice the archive numbers at the bottom of the page...
The newsgroup died in Feb-2002 and most months
since then have zero messages. Only one message is
shown for the last half of 2005. (Back in September)
Quite a reduction from 500-700 per month.
