When I'm measuring speaker distance, is it actual distance or the length
of the speaker cable?

If you mean speaker distance for the purpose of setting up your receiver
then its actual distance. It converts the actual distance into a time
value. This is used to ever so slightly delay the signal so that all the
signals reach your ears at the same time.

Speed of sound = 340m/sec.
Speed of light=300,000km/sec

Which one will have the greater effect?
