Cable and satellite sharing the same coax? |
|
|
Hi,
I have to separated coax lines, one for cable and another for
satellite. Cable outlets are all over the house, but the same is not
true for satellite. I'm a cable subscriber only, but I'd like to get
some international channels that are only available via satellite. The
idea is to "feed" satellite signal into cable coax wiring, maybe using
a diplexer, so I don't need to worry about lack of satellite outlets in
the rest of the rooms. Does it work? Is this solved with just a
diplexer?
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
Thank you.

As long as the outlets are homerun and not daisy-chained, a couple of |
diplexers are all you need -- one to combine the satellite feed with the
cable, and one at the outlet to separate them.
CIAO!
