Motion background for DVD |
|
|
I have Encore 1.5 and the motion backgrounds they have on the disk are
fantastic.
Does anyone know if they provide more or where I can get more good
ones like that?
I know there are a bazillion crap sights that want huge $$$$$ for
disks full of them but I don't want that. This is the internet and
free is better than hundeds and hundreds of dollars.

I take it you have no creative capabilities yourself? Many
of us have and use video Editing packages to make our own
motion backgrounds. A 20 to 80 second clip is fine and easy
to work with. Longer clips are no problem if you can spare
the space on the DVD, but stay under 1GB.
For those of us who are collecting TV series, the opening
credits of a show make a great menu background, and include
the theme music of the show.
Just about any dramatic clip can be made, or made part of, a
motion menu background. It is even possible to use zoom and
pan to "animate" still images, like moving through Hubbell
space stills.
It's still better to make/compile your own, tailored to your DVD.
Luck;

Its pretty easy to make some up yourself with a little blur, a little
fractal noise, ect.
There also as place called Animation Factory that has good quality
animations, backgrounds ect that for a reasonable yearly fee, you can
have full access to. I've been using some of their animated gifs and
have found them excellent. They provide versions on black, white and
clear background so no keying needed. The animated backgrounds can be
aquired as MOV files and loop perfectly. |
