I recently upgraded from Elements 3.0 to 4.0, and so far I'm not
pleased.

I opened a .NEF (Nikon RAW) file, and when I went to save it I could
only save in .dng format. In 3.0 I could save it as a .psd, and as
..jpg as well, I believe. (The same is true in CS2.) Nor can I figure
out how to convert the .dng to .psd or .jpg. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike

Some bit-depths limit your potential save formats, do they not?

Its easy. Just use the open button instead of the save button. That will
open the raw with your settings in Photoshop and then you can save in any
format that you wish.
