Write Error |
|

I'm getting frustrated trying to use my computer to copy disks. I hav emade
more coasters than I care to count. Last night, for example, I was trying
to copy a disk from a commercial set, and got the eror message "Write error
at 0(16) - Code 03 73 04 [Write error, PMA update fail]".
Can somebody tell me what that means? I used 1Click, the disk I wanted to
copy it to was a Memorex, and I have an LG DVD burner.
Any help would be appreciated.

I doubt the problem is Memorex related. I would hate to admit to how many
Memorex blanks I have used, all without any problem.
The commercial DVD is probably encrypted, and therefore cannot be
successfully copied directly. If it can be copied directly, perhaps the
commercial disk has more data than will fit on your blank DVD.
Either way, you probably need to use something like DVD Shrink to rip it
first. |
