I am trying to get some information about varispeed. Is there a
specification that I can dowload?
I am designing digital audio equipments that need to support varispeed,
but I can not find information on how fast the sampling rate can be
changed, and so on...

track being played? I'm trying to research into changing the clock rate
for DAC so that can alter the perceived speed of the song. |

If you change clock rates, you change both pitch and tempo.
You can change pith and tempo independently using a variety
of hardware and software approaches. It's not that simple to
do, but its not prohibitively expensive. |

Can you list the different implementations of each approach? I was
looking at some methods of DAC clock changing but I'm not sure if the
DAC can change quickly enough? I've also been researching the DSP
method of altering sample rate depending on a control slider (i.e.
pitch control) but am still a little unsure of what DSP devices can do
this in real time!

Adobe Audition 1.5 implements all three possibilities:
(1) Change pitch and timing together.
(2) Change only pitch.
(3) Change only tempo. |

I receive a AES3 input signal, where the clock and the date are encoded
on a single wire. I need to extract that clock and retrieve the data.
The question is:
How quickly the sampling clock can be changed?
Can we loose data wile we ramping the clock-up?
How big is the increase 10% 15% x2??
In brief, is there any specification on Varispeed?
