Vizio L32 Locks up |
|
|
Hi,
My Vizio L32 is locking up after my computer shuts down which is
connected to it's RGB port. What happens normally is that the computer
shuts off, the TV shows a blue screen with "No Signal" written on it,
it waits 5 sec and then turns off itself. Sometimes though it will just
show a blue screen with nothing on it, and after that the TV is
nonresponsive to any buttons pressed even directly on the tv. The tv
needs to be unplugged from AC and then it will start responding once
again. I already exchanged the TV once and it still occurs. Vizio is
saying its probably the computer, I say BS since RGB/VGA is an analog
port.
I really don't know what to do right now, I can still return it but no
other 32" TV/Monitor fits in that width. Does anyone have any ideas or
can at least confirm the problem?
Thanks,
Nite Rider

You have done simple things like unpluging the monitor to do a hard reset,
Etc. Follow the troubleshooting in the manual, Etc. Since you have exchanged
the item for another it may be normal operation?

Hi, |
It looks to me, the TV has a bug in it's controller(for some TV type you
can update firmware). It should go to reday/idle state instead of
hanging onto the video interface when PC is turned off.
Only way to prove this is trying different brand TV and/or revised
higher revision Vizio set.

Have you tried switching to another input on the TV before you shut down the
PC? Sounds like a firmware issue...... |
