I use the 240t [like yours] with a Radeon 7500 [low-end] card.
First, these monitors look _much_ better using the DVI connection.
I don't know what kind of video card you use, but for the Radeon: right
click on the screen and go into the video settings, under "advanced", "hide
modes this monitor cannot display", uncheck it. Only then will you see the
1920 x 1200 etc, selections.
I loaded the Samsung driver. 1920 by 1200 is recognized as valid. When I set
the mode to 1920 by 1200 the monitor displays the message Not optimum mode
recommended mode 1920 by 1200 60 Hz.

Can you go into the videocard menus and select another refresh rate? |

1600 by 1200 works just fine. The frame rate of the 1920 by 1200 may not be
as advertized on the video card. I have not taken out my oscilloscope and
looked at it though.
