Windows Movie Maker - Thoughts? |
|
|
Hi!
I am about at wits end with Pinnacle Studio 9.4x even though it has
worked most of the time. I never really fired up Windows Movie Maker
but I was wondering if anyone out there uses it regurally? If so, how
stable is it? I really don't need "fancy" transitions. I just want
something that is stable and helps me edit my videos.
Thanks,
Brian.

It works okay. I use it when I'm in a hurry, just to get a quick idea....

Its free, so it costs you nothing but a download to try it out. |

Well, I have it already..just didn't know if it was worth the time to
build and render a project with it.
I also have access to Premiere at a PC at church but it looks like a
steep learning curve. |

Windows Movie Maker seems very stable on WIN XP home version SP2. |

I recently gave WMM a whirl. Since all of my editing over the
last several years has been in Premiere, WMM was a huge disappointment
for me: extremely limited with a lousy interface. But for
someone who has never edited before, they may welcome the
bare bones approach. To me, it was completely unusable for
anything I'd ever want anyone to look at.

Hey Tim..you replied to my Premiere inquiry and I am very close to
going totally with Adobe for editing (unless I decide to go for a Video
Toaster.)
Thanks,

I too started with Pinnacle stuff several years ago. When I
made the switch to Premiere, it was like having a straight
jacket taken off! I could finally produce the images that
I was seeing in my head rather than fighting with the software
and hardware all the time.
Do they still *make* Video Toasters?
