Hello,
I just started capturing MiniDV video from my camcorder to my PC
w/1394 firewire card. It works fine except when I play back the video
on full screen, the video is blurry. At this point, I don't even want
to burn them onto DVDs.

Is there anyway to get a sharp full screen picture when doing the
transfer from camcorder to PC. I'm using Windows Movie Maker to
record.

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks

What you are probably seeing are "interlacing" effects. It's completely

normal and is to be expected when viewing interlaced material on a
computer monitor. When you encode your DV-AVI video to MPG-2 and watch
it on a regular tv, the video will look as it should.

Some computer viewing applications can automatically de-interlace your
video on the fly while you're watching it on your computer. Some
programs you could try are: PowerDVD, VideoLAN (free) www.videolan.org
or you can download FFDShow which gives you much more control over the
display of video files. I'd try VideoLAN first.
