Problem with VHF is that it sometimes works too well. I have picked up
channel 2 and 3 analog TV stations from 600 - 1000+ miles away on several
occasions. For instance, New York Citi to Ohio, Colorado to Ohio, and Cuba
to Ohio. Just below channel 2, 6 meter ham radio operators make 10,000
miles contacts during the 11 year sunspot peaks.
