Hi all,
I'm new to video editing, so be patience thank you :-)

I have my holiday video captured from a DV camcorder to my pc with
Ulead VideoStudio 9 and I need to cut off some parts.

The problem is that when I cut something, it splits the video in some
clips; so, for example, if I have a 10 minutes video and I cut off a
clip starting by the 5th minutes to the 7th, VideoStudio creates 2
clips (the first from the 1st minute to the 4th and the second from the
8th minute to the 10th).

How can I merge the 2 (or more) clips created into one?

I hope it is clear to understand :-)

Thank you all!

I forgot to write that I used the "Multi trim" option to cut off the
parts I did not need to have.

I don't know what the multi-trim option is and I can't look because
the program is on another computer, but when I make two cuts to a clip
and delete the middle section, VS will automatically put the two clips
side-by side (touching). If you still have a gap between clips, you
can just drag one clip to the other one, so they touch. Then click on
Project and play. If you don't like the way it plays back, you can put
a Transition between the two clips to make it flow better. The length
of the transitions can all changed to suit the video. Look for the
Crossfade transition, in the FX category of the Transitions.

Does that help?
