I am using Avid Xpress Pro HD v5.0 on a system with 4 internal hard drives.
Throughout the course of using the program, Avid is creating folders named
"OMFI MediaFiles" on most, if not all, of my 4 drives.

I need a way to control that annoying behavior...specifically, is there a
way for me to specify only one hard drive that the OMFI MediaFIles folder
should reside on?

Yes. I forget how you get to it, but there's a setting somewhere to
control which drives it will store video and audio files on. Check the
manual.

Media creation setting will allow you to filter out the system drive and the
Launch drive (drive avid lauched from)
other than that you need to make omfimedia folderso on the drives you don't
want media stored on and make the security setting to deny assess.
