JVC duplicator SVHS pin out |
|
|
HI
I'm looking for the pin-out diagram for the JVS 777 series
duplicators...uses the same 7 pin Y/C 358 plug found on the back of most
u-matic machines as a dub in or out.
Need to find out how to connet the 4 wires on a standard S-VHS connector to
the right pins on the Y/C 358
Anyone with a mnaul for the JVC 777 duplicators could help
Thanks

The dub signal on the U-Matic is *NOT* S-Video.

Yes, I know. However, the JVC br-777 series duplicators use that same
CONNECTOR as is normally found on a U-matic deck for Dub IN or OUT. As you
know, this is a 7 pin connector. I am trying to find out which 4 of the 7
pins are used to sent the duplicators a S-VHS signal, and which part of the
sgnal goes to which pin. Obvioulsy, you don't know this. I hope someone
who does will reply.

Are you sure Sony uses the same Y/C 358 signal as JVC?
I thought Sony used a lower-frequency hetrodyne. |

The JVC uses Y/C 629, not 358. Just connecting the SVHS decks up to a 3/4"
decks with this cable - - even wired correctly - - will yield a black and
white signal because the color is referenced to a different frequency.

I can't tell you hopw much I appreciate that you have read my message and
have taken the time to reply.
However, it appears NONE of you have read my message correctly
I am NOT tryoing to send 358/YC singals to a JVS duplicator...
The JVS 777 series duplicators use the same 7 PIN CONNECTOR (sorry, I don't
know the name) as is found on U-matics. I have the proper four ping S-VHS
out signal....I am simply trying to find out whatch 4 of the seven pins are
used.

Perhaps if you had explained why you wanted to know
(and/or what you were trying to do) it might have helped
understand your question. Assuming you don't have the
service manual (or access to one)? |

I tried to find the BR-777 recorder at JVC's professional systems web
site. Doesn't seem to exist there. Must be quite old.
He should just call JVC and attempt to find a service tech who can
answer the question...
