Help with TMPGenc DVD author please ? |
|
|
I need to write DVD format files of 15 Gbytes or larger to my hard
drive but TMPGenc keeps crashing out at 9 Gbytes (Both 1.5 and the demo
1.6 seem to have this limit)
does anyone know how I can make it write larger DVD files ?
thanks

I have no interest in ripping anything - I make my own content
My question is can TMPgenc be made to generate DVDs larger than 9GB
or is there anything else that can do this
I dont need or want any other advice - thank you

With that attitude, you won't get much.

Attitude?
What - you mean trying to shut up the halfwits who are determined to
gob off about things they clearly know nothing about and interfere with
a real thread and problem?
By elucidating the question originaly asked? ... oops sorry more than 2
syllables there... dont want to confuse anyone any more...
I wont get much from the morons gibbering on about ripping DVDs off - I'm
glad
clearly no one here knows anything of any value anyway

Just guessing here!
Probably any of the packages designed to make "DVD"s will want to
limit the collection to the size of available media.
Also, the VOB naming convention seems to permit only 99 sets of 9.
Using the 1 gig size option for VOBs would automatically limit your
set to 9 gig. I seem to recall some product that allowed a 2 gig VOB
limit. And perhaps some product that enables even larger files?
If that's not the case, then perhaps IFOEdit can cajole the
VIDEO_TS.IFO and the VTS_01_0.IFO to address files with non-standard
names?

In my opinion you have very well summed up the likely issues. |

Most of the people who are trying to help, want to
help as many as possible. When you refuse to describe
your goals, you rule out any response that might provide
a practical method along any lines other than what relates
to your stated approach. Now you say...YES, That Was
Exactly What I Want!! Try to understand: No One
posts in response to what you want. No One is obligated
to respond as you wish them to, or at all for that matter.
Now I think it's fair to say I know something about how
to get the most out of TMPGEnc DVD Author, but I
won't expend any effort to advise someone so closed
minded as to refuse to consider any approach to a problem
but their own (which apparently isn't working) and will not
describe what they are trying to do.
Luck;

the goal was describesd clearly and fully - youre another waster

your response and that of the other idiot are the only things confusing
the issue
ever considered shutting up if you cant actually answer the question
asked ? |
