Antenna Adaptor for a 1979 GM Camaro |

I need an adapter from the antenna on my my 1979 camaro(GM) to the new
motorola type. Anyone have any bright ideas on a place where i could
accuire this, It would really make my day.

I think you need a METRA 40-GM20 or equivalent
it goes from the old bigger antenna plug to the smaller GM plug |

what type of radio do you have? those old Camero's used a standard
antenna plug. |

If your Cameron still uses the original Antenna in the front windshield,
then that plug should be the same as the Alpine. What is the problem?
the antenna plug to big/small?

I have a alpine head unit it uses the motorola radio wire, the one in
the camaro is much smaller than the motorola but not the type that the
82-up camaros had, hense the antenna adapter you recommended wont work,
this antenna may be aftermarket, it is a strip located in the middle of
the windshield, and is not a traditinal antenna |

It sounds more like you are missing part of the antenna cable, 1979?
would be a motorola connector on the end that goes to the radio at
least that is what came in the car factory.
Aftermarket would be motorola or a european type or part may be
missing.
