Hi,

I've downloaded one .avi file (a cartoon movie) which has 2 audio
channels embedded. I burned the file directly onto one CD using nero
6.6 choosing CD-ROM(ISO) format. As I played the file from CD with
WMP10 or RealPlayer10, both audio channels come out simultaneously. I
would like to know how can I configure WMP or RealPlayer to make them
play one audio channel only ?

If I need to burn another CD copy, do I need to choose another burn
option ?

:]

The latest DivX Player - which can be installed along with the DivX codec
enables you to select which audio stream to use in an AVI file with more
than one audio track.

Is the AVI movie you have a DivX encoded movie?

VideoLAN also enables the selection of an audio track in videos with more
than one audio track.

I'm curious to know why you would want to do this?

The number of tracks is imbedded in the file so Nero is not going to be able
to do anything about it.
You could use AutoGK to re do the avi file and select force mono mp3 sound
track in the options page (accessible only by selecting control F9).

Still not sure why!

Tks! I've downloaded media player classic from below link anyway.

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84358

This software enables me to choose which audio track to play along with
video signal.

It seems that this media player is a freeware and I find no
corresponding audio track selecting function from my microsoft version
media player - only one suspected similar function under
options->DVD->language settings->preset value but that doesn't help.
Does it mean that microsoft's version player doesn't support such
function ? Same question to RealPlayer 10

Because some .avi files come with 2 audio tracks each with a different
language track (just like TV NICAM). I don't want to delete any of them
so that I can choose either one playing along with the video stream in
my favourite.
